... the firing of Mike Shannahan, but I understood it. He had few playoff wins and no Super Bowl appearences since the departure of Elway. I was, myself, getting to the point at which I was going to call for his job, although I thought he should have been given at least one more year, but as I said I can understand why he was fired even if I don't agree with it. 

I was even somewhat behind the hiring of Josh McDaniels. I thought, coming from the Patriots, he was a fairly good pick. But then he came in and completely tore apart the team.

I was so pumped for this season—I thought Denver really had a chance to compete for a title, especially with the arrivals of Lamont Jordan, Corell Buckhalter, and Brian Dawkins....
