In today's (Jacksonville) Florida Times-Union, the agent for 2009 first-round pick Eugene Monroe expressed his intention to avoid a holdout this year. Of course, agents almost always say that, especially with training camp more than one month away. For some players, holding out hasn't hurt their rookie-year production. For others, especially those who hold out deep into training camp, it has hindered their early maturation. In Monroe's case, a holdout could drastically effect his playing time. He and ex-Pro Bowler Tra Thomas are expected to compete for the starting left tackle...
