Nevermind that Owens is one of the most disruptive, egomaniacal, self-aggrandizing players in the history of the league.
Nevermind that he's burned bridges with virtually every team he's played for.
Nevermind that he's been among the league leaders in dropped passes in the last few years.
The biggest reason to avoid him is that whatever short-term benefit he'd provide would be outweighed by the negative impact he'd have on the Rams' young WR corps.
Owens is not the mentor type. No matter what he might say now, his primary interest is to get the ball as much as possible so he can pad his career numbers.
