Dominic Rhodes, Super Bowl XLI Stand-Out, Signs Deal To Play In UFL

Article By on 2nd July, 2010

... that in 2010 former star running back Dominic Rhodes, 31, will join Jay Gruden's Florida Huskers of the United Football League.

Despite going unselected after an impressive career as a ball-carrier at Midwestern State in the 2001 NFL Draft, Rhodes enjoyed a fairly fulfilling career in the NFL over the course of the last decade as an Indianapolis Colt, Oakland Raider, and a brief stint as a Buffalo Bill.

Rhodes achieved a great deal of success in his first season, setting an NFL record for rushing yardage by an undrafted rookie with over 1,100 yards on the ground in 2001. However, Rhodes was never again a full-time starting running back in the big league.
