Brady Quinn Wins Round One in Cleveland Browns’ Quarterback Competition

Somehow, it was decisively.

While Quinn didn’t do anything particularly great, he was at least solid in two drives against the Packers.

In his first series, Quinn appeared poised for the most part. He made two excellent third-down throws to Mike Furrey, with the second being a perfectly placed slant that had plenty of zip behind it.

He also recognized a blitz and audibled to a better protected play, which was refreshing to see a Browns quarterback do. The drive ultimately stalled inside the Green Bay 15 on what appeared to be a misread in coverage by Josh Cribbs.
