Buried under over-hyped rivalries on Saturday, the game of the day took place in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs. Unbeaten Montana was hosting upstart South Dakota State, a program that gave a team such as Minnesota all it wanted in a three-point loss in November.
South Dakota State played a murderous schedule in division formerly known as Division I-AA terms. The running Rabbits played Northern Iowa, losing to BCS candidate Iowa by one point. Then highly-ranked Southern Illinois, who gave Marshall a panic and has past victories over Northern Illinois under its belt.
