This year, the Hokies of Virginia Tech hope to build upon that and have set out to dominate the Coastal Division of the ACC in the fall and continue the reign of dominance with bowl appearances and tough post-season play.
With the Chick-Fil-A kickoff game on Sept. 5 against Alabama, Virginia Tech will have a stacked early season against non-division opponents Marshall and Nebraska. All three teams will be tough fights for Frank Beamer and company in the early season, but will help to erase any doubts that might be lingering on the abilities of an offense led by Tyrod Taylor and a young defense.
