Against Akron, Penn State fell apart in the second half, did not score on offense, and gave Akron a touchdown. This means that Akron, yes Akron, outscored Penn State 7-0 in the second half. It was a 31-7 victory, but a poor second half performance and overall mediocre performance by the Nittany Lions. They were unable to run and their secondary was awful.
