In a word, no. His only Michigan-worthy accomplishment as a coach is that he successfully recruited Pat White. His career record without White is absolutely horrible by Wolverine standards.

2001: 3-8 in his first year as a head coach. Two wins came against MAC teams and the third was over Rutgers, who should have been FCS back then. Sorry Rutgers fans, but you literally lost the game 80-7.
That is not a typo, and FBS teams are not supposed to give up 80 to conference opponents. Washington and Washington State, are you writing this down?
