But there is a difference between lacking talent and lacking effort, a difference which Texas (mainly the Longhorn offense) demonstrated with the shellacking it took from Kansas State this week.

The performance on Saturday night at Bill Snyder Stadium ranks amongst the most pathetic in the Mack Brown era, up there with the 63 to 14 and 65 to 13 losses to Oklahoma in 2000 and 2001.
