Quest for 2000: Who’s the Next 2000 Yard Rusher in College Football?

... Kevin Smith, Troy Davis, and Donald Brown. What do all these names have in common? No they didn't play on the same team. Yes they all played college football. No they are not related. The common thread that bonds these men, as well as a few others, is that they have all rushed for 2,000 or more yards in a single season, in college. As spectacular of a feat that is, some did better than others. For example, Barry Sanders still holds the NCAA Division I single season rushing record at 2,628 yards. Troy Davis is the only major college football player to rush for 2,000+ yards twice in his career. With that said, here is a breakdown of the pros and cons of who will become college football's next 2000 yard rusher.
