That was a turn-back-the-clock game. Those were the Blackshirts. That was a Cornhuskers team from the past, and yet a team of the future.
In Bo Pelini, there was a bit of Tom Osborne. In Zac Lee, there was a bit of (dare I say it?) Tommy Frazier, or at the least Eric Crouch. In Ndamukong Suh, there was a dash of Jason Peter. And in the Nebraska Cornhuskers, there were reflections of 1990's dominance.
But these Cornhuskers were also a beacon of hope for this program. This game a sign of greater things to come. Of contention, of conference championships, of reclaimed national prominence.
