... State Junior Linebacker Nate Irving was, unfortunately, injured in a car accident on June 27. He is currently hospitalized at Wake Med Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries.

In the accident Irving suffered a broken leg and a collapsed lung, and he is scheduled to undergo surgery on his broken leg.

Wolfpack head coach Tom O'brien has been quoted as saying, "Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with Nate and his family, All of his teammates and coaches will be there to support him as he recovers and goes through the process of rehabilitation.”
