The Huskies, under new coach Steve Sarkisian, played their hearts out in front of a crowd of over 70,000, but did not have enough to take down the Tigers.
The first half was sluggish offensively for the Tigers, and the defense could not seem to tackle. However, Jacob Cutrera managed to deflect and intercept a Jake Locket pass, then return it for a touchdown, which gave LSU its first lead of the season.
