The Hawkeyes added some depth to their defensive front when they received verbal commitments from Martin High School (Arlington, TX) defensive end Donavan Johnson and Adlai Stevenson High School (Sterling Heights, MI) defensive tackle Carl Davis.
Johnson is listed on Rivals.com as a defensive end prospect, but ESPN.com sees him as an offensive lineman, most likely a guard. Scout.com thinks he is a defensive tackle, so he is apparently a very versatile player, seeing as he currently plays offensive tackle in high school.
