Head Coach Jimbo Fisher confirmed the news at the Seminole Football Media Day.

"He has been dismissed for a violation of team rules," Fisher said. "We wish him the best in everything he does. We love him."

Fortson, troubled by various issues his whole career at Florida State, was supposed to be a huge part of the puzzle for the Seminoles' offense. Many were hoping for a breakout year for the talented receiver who was always believed to have great potential.
