College Football Live dedicated its entire 30-minute schedule to the Weis dismissal. Taking into consideration that Notre Dame is a 6-6 football team and has not won the national championship for over 20 years, this was extraordinary.
I visited Notre Dame in 2005 during Weis' first season in charge and witnessed a comfortable victory over Syracuse. The South Bend campus is a special place. The university grounds are beautifully landscaped and the atmosphere generated by the adoring faithful was awe inspiring.
