10 Teams That Could Surpass Appalachian St.’s 2007 Upset Over Michigan

... doing when you heard that Appalachian State upset Michigan in the Big House on September 1, 2007?  This game arguably was the greatest upset in the history of college football.

Michigan was ranked No. 5 in the nation before the game, and was a 27 point favorite according to Las Vegas.

The Wolverines almost pulled it out before Appalachian State blocked a field goal with six seconds left to end the game.  It would end up being head coach Lloyd Carr's last season with Michigan, and the Wolverines haven't been the same especially with the arrival of new head coach Rich Rodriguez to start the 2008 season.
