The University of South Carolina coaching staff is working hard to put the finishing touches on what is shaping up to be a solid recruiting class for the Gamecocks as they begin 2011 as the defending SEC Eastern Divisional Champions.

This past week, the Gamecocks Class of 2011 grew from having 26 recruits to 31, and believe it or not, there is still a few more on the board going into National Signing Day.

Let’s review the newest Gamecocks who gave their verbal to Coach Spurrier recently and also provide a update on the nation’s top high school football recruit, Jadeveon Clowney, as he visited Columbia, S.C. this past weekend on a non-official visit.
