Pittsburgh Steelers WR Limas Sweed Injures Achilles During Mini-Camp

... due to an 'undisclosed illness' which he claimed to be "personal issues," second-year Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver Limas Sweed injured his left ankle on Sunday the Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin told the media.

"He just suffered what appears to be an Achillies injury," Tomlin said on Sunday after the second-round pick wide receiver out of Texas went down during a pad-less mini-camp practice, then was carted off the practice field. He was seen leaving the practice facility on crutches.

"I will have more information in regards to that, probably as early as tomorrow (Monday)," Tomlin said.
