... sure that most NFL and sports fans will agree that an unproven player, no matter how talented, should not being making nearly as much, or more than the pros that have proven they have what it takes.

I for one feel like it is a messed up system when a rookie quarterback is set to make 50 million dollars without having done ANYTHING to deserve it. The fact that an athlete making that much money is absurd is a different point entirely.

I feel I have a rather good idea as to how this can be eliminated. Perhaps the "rookie pay scale" is a good idea, but I feel like that would be more difficult for the player's association to agree to.

What about seriously back-loaded and incentive-based contracts for rookies with little guaran...
