New England Patriots: Pats’ Rushing Game Absent Against Rams

... you can forget New England's rushing game after tonight's performance against the St. Louis Rams. There were high expectations on the Patriots' running attack entering week three against the Rams after two weeks of solid running, but nothing gave. 

You can look at the final score and say, "well New England's offense faired well, they put up 35 points". Well, look even deeper. 

The Patriots rushed for a mere total of 28 yards against the below average run defense presented by the Rams. 

New England averaged only 2.5 yards per carry; that's awful. 

New England's top runners were BenJarvus Green-Ellis (13 yards) and Sammy Morris (12 yards).
