Minnesota Vikings: Open Blog Discussions on Pursuing CB Al Harris

... many of you have heard, the Green Bay Packers have recently released former Pro Bowl cornerback Al Harris. This is in part due to Harris's replacement, Tramon Williams, having a stellar season so far and the development of rookie (seventh-rounder) Sam Shields.

Harris had also been battling a knee injury that sidelined him for the duration of the 2009 season. He had been on the (PUP) physically unable to perform list and returned to practice October 19. At that point, the Packers would have three weeks to decide Harris's future.

Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said the decision was made with the overall lineup in mind and said, "I think Al Harris will definitely play again in the National Footb...
