Hester has been criticized often during the past off season by many who wish him to be strictly a return man and not be a wide receiver. Sports writers and fans a like have not thought that Hester could make the difficult transition, and looking at his numbers last year, both return and receiving, they looked right.
But if Sunday is any indication, Hester the receiver is here to stay.
While his final numbers were by no means jaw dropping, they were solid considering the nightmarish first half Jay Cutler suffered through.
Hester finished with four receptions for 90 yards and one touchdown.
