Eagles Sign Kevin Kolb to One-Year Extension

... goofy rules in an uncapped season, but the Eagles did what they could and signed quarterback Kevin Kolb to a one-year extension that will pay him a guaranteed $12.25 million over the next two seasons.

Every penny of that figure is guaranteed regardless of performance or any other factor, which was really the only way they could come close to paying him starter money in this new circumstance.

It's likely that he'll receive a long-term deal once a salary cap is back in place, but this is good enough for right now. Both sides appear happy with the deal and now the Birds can move forward without this big pink elephant in the room.
