Detroit Lions Make First Move: More On The Way?

... the first move Friday morning. Reports have come in that Detroit has signed wide receiver Nate Burleson to a five year, $25 million deal with $11 million guaranteed. 

The former Seattle Seahawks receiver brought in 63 receptions for 812 yards and three touchdowns last season.

That's a far better stat line than Detroit's second receiver Bryant Johnson who only caught 35 passes for a sluggish 417 yards and plenty of dropped passes. 

For Detroit, making the first move for the best possible wide receiver in this years free agent pool shows that there pushing forward to becoming a winning team again. The move should open up the field more for Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, and give Calvin Johnson more one on oneÂ...
