First was the game against the Washington Redskins. Somehow the secondary managed to not get burnt like they have all season, and the run defense stepped up enough to secure the win.
Second was a game featuring an 0-7 team that had a horrible offense and an almost equally bad defense. The Lions should have destroyed the Rams. Yet, they struggled to score until the fourth quarter.
Not only did the offense sputter horribly during the game, so did the defense, allowing Steven Jackson to run rampant for 149 yards on 22 carries. Letting an opposing team's running back average 6.8 yards per carry is never a winning ...
