Clinton Portis: Washington Redskins RB Still Has Gas Left in the Tank

He'll turn 30 years old in 2011, and he has even gone on record in saying that he almost retired two years ago.

And it hasn't been all that great since then.

Portis has suffered two season-shortening injures in each of the last two seasons, and he's failed to regain the form that made him one of the league's elite running backs just a few short years ago.

He's currently on injured reserve, he just underwent surgery to repair muscle tears in both his groin and abdomen, and he's unsure if he'll be with the Washington Redskins next year.

But that isn't stopping Portis from saying he plans to play next season.

Portis wants to return to the Redskins to prove he still has some gas left in the tank.
