2009 Redskins Season Preview: Linebackers

The biggest change made in the offseason is the complete re-thinking of the strong-side linebacker position.

To kick things off, the Redskins released the long-time fixture at the spot, Marcus Washington. Washington had been with the team for the last five seasons, but injuries had limited him in recent years and he remains unsigned.

With Washington gone this season the team has adjusted the spot to feature a stronger pass rusher with two converted defensive ends expected to man the spot this season.
