In game one, LSU traveled the 2,600 miles up to Seattle to face a Washington team who had not won a game in over a year and had a new coach. Most expected LSU to blow away the Huskies, but that was not the case as LSU only won by eight, 31-23. Although it should be noted Washington has proven to be much improved this season (ask USC).
