While Pell was a nervous wreck, hiding his cigarette smoking behind his free hand, Georgia Bulldog Head Football Coach Vince Dooley was cool, calm, and calculating.

Pell was my alter ego. Dooley was James Bond.

Hanging on to a thread, we were lucky during my days as a young Gator fan and undergraduate to eek out a win against those Silver Britches from time to time.

And when we finally did, it was cathartic.

In fact, from 1977-1987, Georgia won eight games to our three in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
