In the wake of losing 30 scholarships, a two-year bowl ban, and the forfeiture of wins from at least the 2004 season and a possible loss of Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy, this is the one bright spot for USC football.
I am sure this decision will be under much scrutiny given the NCAA's sanctions toward USC just two days earlier, but at least USC will not have to lose the national championship as part of an already excessive punishment.
USC football is still the 2004 BCS National Champion, and they will be able to keep The Coaches' Trophy in their trophy case.
