In 1951, Princeton's Dick Kazmaier was honored with the award. He was also named the "Athlete of the Year," beating out golfer Ben Hogan, heavyweight boxing champ Jersey Joe Walcott, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball star Stan Musial.
Pretty decent comp, eh?
After Kazmaier graduated from Princeton with highest honors, he earned a master's degree from the Harvard Business School.
Later, he joined the Navy and after his commission, went on to become a successful businessman.
