His on-field results, have been underwhelming (putting it lightly) for Michigan standards, going 8-16 in two seasons with no bowl appearances and the worst single season record in program history (3-9). Off-field issues have been a problem as well. Many players, such as Justin Boren and Ryan Mallett, who now star for Ohio State and Arkansas respectively, have left the program.
