Tate Forcier Leads Michigan Wolverines to Upset over Fighting Irish

... trailing Notre Dame 34-31 and Michigan was moving the ball, threatening to score again, when Tate Forcier threw a pass a little to high for Greg Mathews and was intercepted.  Right then, all hopes of Michigan pulling off the upset were shattered!  At least that's what every one thought.

With two minutes to go, Notre Dame had made a stupid decision to pass on second and third down, and both were incomplete.  The Irish were forced to give up the ball and, with 1:50 left on the clock and only two timeouts remaining, Tate Forcier led Michigan on the drive of his life.  He went 6/7 for 56 yds, passed to Greg Mathews for the game-winning touchdown.  Yes, Tate had done what is so difficult for many freshmen to do: he K...
