... here know that California is a hard state to leave forever.  There is always something that pulls once-inhabitants back to our sunny beaches, slightly varying seasons, and ever-striving liberal ideas. 

While the housing market does it best to repel owners from permanently staying in this beautiful state, the many that leave often desire to return and eventually find a way to make it happen.  

Shayne Skov was born 19 years ago in San Francisco and spent much of his youth in the Bay Area. 

After his freshman year at Piedmont High School in the East Bay, Shayne took a journey cross-country to attend a boarding school in Pawling, New York.
