Pittsburgh Football Picked to Win Big East, But Left Out of Top 40 Nationally

... other Big East blogger fortunate enough not to be stuck in entry-level purgatory posted earlier today: Pitt is the media's pick to win the Big East this season.
The 24 media members who cast ballots voted as follows.
1. Pittsburgh (8) 161
2. West Virginia (5) 151
3. Cincinnati (8) 144
4. USF (3) 130
5. Rutgers 126
6. UConn 74
7. Louisville 51
8. Syracuse 27
No ballot had Pitt outside of the top three. I personally, would have gone USF, WVU, Pitt, Cincinnati, Rutgers, UConn, Syracuse, and Louisville. But it's way too close to call.
