Notre Dame Football: Why Brian Kelly Is Not Another Davie, Willingham or Weis

... Kelly needs two wins over Utah, Army and USC to secure bowl eligibility for his Irish and avoid the worst debut season in Notre Dame coaching history. 

That's a tough sentence to swallow, especially in the context of the three deposed head coaches he succeeds. 

Together, Bob Davie, Tyrone Willingham and Charlie Weis compose the Mount Rushmore of an Irish era that was predominantly rush-less.  Their overall records at termination were 35-25, 21-15 and 35-27, respectively.
