In recent years, Michigan State has landed some of the city's best hoopers.
What about football stars? What big local prep star stayed in state and went on to become a Spartan?
One name comes to mind and that's the former Saginaw Nouvel standout Blair White.
White's story at Michigan State was that of a fairytale. He went from begging to get a shot, to becoming a starter and team captain, and now he may be on his way to the NFL.
NFL or not, White serves as a prime example of what hard work can do for one's career.
