Miami (Ohio) Overcomes Fog, BGSU Comeback With Last-Second Field Goal

... looked like an easy win for Miami (OH) (6-4, 5-1 MAC) over Bowling Green State (2-8, 1-5) turned very interesting in the fourth quarter.  With the Red Hawks up 21-7, Willie Geter (16 carries, 34 yards, 2 TD) scored twice in six-and-a-half minutes to tie the game at 21. 

This is where it gets a little messy.  With six minutes to go, Miami (OH) wide receiver Chris Givens (one catch, 15 yards) lost a fumble that did not appear to be one after ESPN2 showed side-to-side shots from opposite angles.  The referees did not have access to those shots, so the play could not be overturned.  Bowling Green ended up punting a minute later and did not take advantage of its first gift from the refs...
