This is due in large part to Head Coach Randy Shannon being able to reel in the kind of talent Miami used to get. While his coaching decisions leaves some scratching their heads there is no doubting Coach Shannon's ability to recruit.
For Miami to reach the BCS championship game they will first have to survive one of the nations most difficult schedules. One which includes a daunting road trip to Columbus, Ohio on September 11th. If Miami is able to beat the highly ranked Buckeyes they will still face several other potential speed bumps the rest of the way.
