After redshirting his freshman season under then head coach Mark Dantonio, Barnett emerged in 2007, hauling in 62 passes for 862 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning him second-team all-Big East honors.
He led the team in receiving and was the second among freshman in the country behind a guy named Michael Crabtree.
Due to to thin build at 6'2" and only 175 pounds, he is referred to as "Bones" by teammates and coaches. "Bones" may be more excited than anybody that Butch Jones is now running the show.
