LSU Football: Defense Wins Championships. Will Field Goals Beat Miss. St?

... first half is in the books and the Tiger defense has performed as expected, dominating the Mississippi State Bulldogs offense in all facets.  Where’s the offense?

The Tiger offense has controlled the clock, but that’s it!  Unable to finish drives, the Tigers are forcing kicker Josh Jasper to work overtime as he has attempted and made a field goal on every LSU offensive possession.

The game should be a blowout at 28-0, but instead the Tigers are letting the Bulldogs stay in the game, as it is only 12-0 at halftime. 

Win or lose, for this game to be a success for LSU, the offense will need to complete drives in the second half and stop settling for field goals.
