... Burton (Syndicated Writer) The past year was both a hectic and rewarding time to be covering Alabama football. I got to know the players, the coaching staff and the intricacies of becoming more professional than I have ever done before.

But it came with a price. I spent less time at home than usual, went to games without my wife and family because they weren't allowed in the press box and missed a lot of good times I had on game day with the usual suspects at the Tiki Bar.

So with Bacardi the Wonder Dog, working patrol duty and reading up on the other SEC teams, (and a rather large house sitter guarding the house) we are off for a while for some husband—wife time in St. Kitts.
