Football Recruiting: BYU Cougars Land Seventh Commitment of 2011 Class

... Cougars are already putting together an impressive 2011 recruiting class. They added No. 7 on Saturday with Kensi Taushinga, a defensive tackle from South Jordan, Utah's Bingham High School.

Taushinga, who stands at 6'0'', 265 pounds and runs a 5.5 40, said the BYU coaching staff will let him go on his Mormon mission before he joins the team, which played into the decision.

According to Rivals.com, Taushinga is one of four players from Bingham High School who have already committed to BYU. Linebacker Manoa Pikula, along with defensive end Moses Kaumatule, committed in February, and Bakker Pritchard gave his pledge last June.
