The defending national champion Florida Gators open their 2009 season with an overmatched FCS opponent from the Big South Conference: Charleston Southern.
The Buccaneers stand absolutely zero chance of winning this game, and quite frankly, they shouldn't even be on the Gators' schedule.
There were talks that Utah was going be the season opener for Florida, but the deal ultimately fell through, and college football fans were denied the chance to seen the top two finishers from the previous season.
