... Athletic Director has been cryptic when talking about the future for the Cougars. Only a few weeks ago, Mr. Holmoe said that there were "great opportunities for BYU that did not exist last week."

Just to refresh your memory, he said that after the Pac-10 had grabbed Utah, the Big 12 decided that 10 teams is good enough.

So, what did he mean?

This summer's events have shown that the Pac-10 would rather take a mediocre Big 12 team over BYU, and that there's plenty other teams that the Pac-10 would rather have.

And the Big 12 seems to be content as long as Texas is. At least we know that BYU isn't heading there in the very near future.

Now, we have more to wonder about after Holmoe's latest press confere...
