For my fellow Domers, it's the dawn of a new Irish day. We all know his record: championships at every level of coaching—Grand Valley State, Central Michigan, and Cincinnati—and a steady climb to the top.

So rather than list coach Kelly's merits, I instead want to revisit, one final time, my thoughts on the end of this sorry season, and the transition that's now concluded.

Love/Hate

The media hated Weis. Really hated him. And the ND Haters, well, they were all out of their gourds over CW. Will the love fest for the ex-Bearcat's coach continue, or will being at Notre Dame bring him the same irrational scorn? Or with Charlie Weis, was it just personal?
