BCS fans would tell you that it's because Boise had a "close" game with FCS squad California Davis. I'd tell you that it's because people are looking for a reason to drop Boise from the rankings.

The team that jumped Boise, Virginia Tech, certainly didn't have a quality win to speak of. The Hokies beat Duke, a team who have already lost to a FCS team, Richmond.

Duke has beaten Army and North Carolina Central this season, hardly impressive.

In a college football atmosphere, where hardly any teams go undefeated, Boise State is being penalized for winning!
