As the Bearcats travel across the Buckeye State to Touchdown City, the team will not arrive for the game with former coach Brian Kelly, as he has taken over the reins of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
As the two head coaching tenures crossed paths, Jones once replaced Kelly at CMU after he left for Cincinnati in the 2006 season, now again he will replace Kelly in the Queen City.
In Kelly’s place, Butch Jones left his post at Central Michigan where he took the Chippewas to three straight bowl games along with two Mid-American Conference championships in his three years in Mount Pleasant.
